American Fatso
A deep and thoughtful look into the minds of one of the most deeply misunderstood and feared subset of society. A revolutionary depiction of human behavior, a dark and twisted comedic interpretation of American grandiosity a la Mary Harron’s American Psycho. This is…American Fatso.

We dove fully into this parody of the opening scene from American Psycho. Meticulously reimagining the opening title sequence with junk food to juxtapose the films opening title sequence of a 5-star restaurant meal being prepared, down to the same title font.
I filmed the title sequence with an iPhone after a shot of inspiration while prepping for this shoot. I grabbed as much junk food I could find at a local store, then filmed and edited the title sequence in an afternoon.
To match the original film visually, instead of filming this with our RED Dragon, I decided the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera would give us a look that wasn’t as clean as a RED, but would hold up to the original films aesthetic.
